Bridge House Hotel Information


The Bridge House is a beautiful grade 2 listed Georgian Town House built in 1768 and is full of character and quirky charm. Sitting on the river Asker offering beautiful river walks yet only a 2 minute walk into town with its independent shops, restaurants, bars & vintage Quarter selling everything vintage from furniture to clothes. Market days are Wednesdays & Saturdays. The nearest beach at West Bay is 1.8 miles away and is easily reached by car or cycling/walking along the cycle path. Bridport is an ideal base for exploring the Jurassic coast and is an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All 10 rooms have en-suite facilities and free Wi-Fi. The Drawing room offers a quiet place to sit and enjoy the fire on a chilly day. Our private walled garden with log burner is perfect for warmer days. The Cellar bar is an ideal place to meet friends, enjoy our light bites menu along with local beers and ciders. All wines are available by the bottle or glass. There are some great restaurants in the town, all within a short walking distance, we are happy to recommend our favourites. Private car parking when available inc electric charging point (charges apply). COVID-19 advice for guests: Due to COVID-19 and extra measures we have put in place, we are changing the way in which we do things. After booking, and prior to arrival, guests will receive an email with all relevant information relating to their stay. We may also call guests before arrival date to go through final details and answer any queries. Check-in times will be staggered from 2 pm onward, with 10 pm latest arrival. We do not currently accept Cash and are using Contactless check-in/check-out and Payments throughout the Hotel and Bar. Please contact the Hotel directly on 01308 423371
