Lower Wythall B&B Information

Description

Lower Wythall is a beautiful, timber-framed house dating back to the reign of Elizabeth I (circa 1566), which nestles in 1.3 acres of gardens, in a rural setting, with views from Bulls Hill in the picturesque Wye Valley. Close to Ross-on-Wye, it is ideally placed for guests to enjoy the nearby places of interest and activities, or soak up the rural delights of the Forest of Dean and other areas in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Present owners, Guy and Sheila, have spent over two years sympathetically restoring Lower Wythall, to welcome guests to stay in one of their luxury and characterful guest bedrooms. Features include, oak beams, flagstone floors, inglenook fireplaces with modern wood burners and bespoke hand forged lighting by an artist blacksmith. The addition of luxury modern bathrooms has been achieved in harmony with the historic character of the house. As a guest, you will enjoy ensuite facilities, with a steam, and mains pressure shower cabin (with Bluetooth to link to music on your mobile), or a double-ended bath, or both. Complimentary luxury toiletries and towels are provided. Every guest will sleep on a good quality Hypnos bed, with a luxury Hypnos topper for extra comfort. All the bed linen is cool, luxury white Egyptian cotton, with wool duvets of a weight and warmth to suit the season. Other covers are always available, but rooms are well-heated by eco biomass boilers. All bedrooms have smart TVs, free Wi-Fi, USB charging points, hospitality trays, hair dryers, shaver points and blackout lined curtains. A hearty breakfast is included in your night’s stay. Full English breakfast or a seasonal special, and/or a selection of cereals, including homemade muesli or granola, yogurt and honey, warm or cold fruit salad, depending on the weather. The area is richly provided with good, locally-grown produce, which they source wherever possible, to serve to you.
