A Luxurious Modern Scandinavian Design cedar clad house located within the grounds of an old Victorian fire station in the UNESCO world heritage site of Canterbury. This property is unique in Canterbury as there is nothing else like it. The property is tucked away off the main road behind a former Victorian fire station and comprises of two large bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms and King size beds. The master bedroom is 25ft/ 8m long and has a separate sleeping area with a double sofa bed and balcony overlooking the courtyard. The second bedroom is a garden room overlooking the courtyard and comes with a flat screen T.V. There is also a large reception room 25ft/8m long with 2 Italian leather sofas, flat screen T.V, with satellite digital channels, dvd player and music center with I-pod docking station and a dining area that can seat up to 10 people along with a well equipped Kitchen/ Diner that seats 4. Two further single bed can be arranged if necessary. The property is located 10 minutes walk into the centre of this historic town with local shops and train station only 5 minutes walk away.Trains take only 50 minutes into the centre of London. The trendy fishing village of Whitstable is only 15 minutes drive away, famed for its oysters and sea food or the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Broadstairs and stunning Botany Bay (England's best kept secret) only 30 minutes drive. Closer to Canterbury are ancient woodlands, 2 fantastic wildlife parks and plenty of idyllic country villages and pubs serving local fayre. Further afield, Leeds castle and rail links to London. A courtyard garden wraps around the house to give it a very private feel with garden table, chairs and BBQ. Free secure parking is provided on site and no extra charge is made for linen or towels.

The Arthouse Information

Description

We are situated in a prime location close to the city centre and its historical attractions. In easy reach of the Universities and conveniently placed for business, shopping and leisure activities. It is only a 10 minute walk from Canterbury West train station. The Arthouse is a Victorian building, towering up above its adjacent properties. During Victorian times this building was used as a fire station where horse drawn fire engines would house themselves in the barn through the archway. The Arthouse has been designed in a quirky fun way. The first floor living area is spacious, light with good views out to the city. There’s a modern kitchen providing a good selection of tea, coffee and cereals for guests’ independent use. On the second floor there are two bedrooms. There is a bedroom to the front with a comfortable King size bed and private bathroom a floor below and a further bedroom to the rear with a comfortable King bed and en-suite bathroom. The back house is a cedar wood clad building in a modern Scandinavian design. This property is unique to Canterbury. It is tucked away off the main road behind The Arthouse The generous living area has a reception room with two sofas, flat screen T.V, with satellite digital channels, dvd player and music center with I-pod docking station. This living area encompasses a dining area which can seat up to 10 people then leads into a well equipped kitchen with extra seating for four guests. Upstairs there's a spacious open plan area with a large king size bed & en-suite bathroom, plus a seating area with a pull out sofa bed. There is a courtyard garden that wraps around the house to give it a very private feel.
