Description

A warm welcome and a pot of tea and delicious homemade cake await you at our Victorian Farmhouse in the lovely South Cheshire countryside. We have fine views across open farmland to the Peckforton Hills. Our refurbished home offers large comfortable bedrooms with well stocked tea trays and modern stylish bathrooms. Start the day with our hearty farmhouse breakfast in our elegant breakfast room. Spend some time in our guests lounge with its cosy open fire and read, watch TV or play games. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. Contact Joanne direct by email or telephone for best prices. We are in a superb area for walking or cycling with pretty country lanes, well maintained footpaths and the Shropshire Union Canal. Close by is the Sandstone trail footpath, let us provide a circular walk. The area is rich in wildlife with many birds, butterflies and wild flowers. Situated close to the historic village of Bunbury with its impressive church, the picturesque village of Tarporley and the attractive market town of Nantwich with its black and white buildings, why not plan some trips for shopping or culture. Enjoy a day in Chester only 15 miles away. Walk the well preserved roman walls, shop in the unique ‘rows’, visit the cathedral or take a boat trip down the river Dee. Visit Chester Zoo. Our farmhouse is within two miles many excellant dining pubs: The Dysart Arms in Bunbury has good food in cosy surroundings and a nice garden opposite the lovely Bunbury Church The Yew Tree is refurbished and reopened and serving good food The Nags Head in Bunbury serves good value pub grub The Thatch at Faddiley is a traditional 15th century thatched Black and White Pub Also in Spurstow we have the very popular Mexican restaurant ‘Panama Hatty’s. Always busy. We are close for Oulton Park Race Track, Chester Races, Peckforton Castle, Cholmondeley Castle Gardens and Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre and welcome visitors looking for a relaxing place to stay

  • Road from North M6/ M56 (19.0 miles)
    Follow M56 Chester and leave at Junction 10 and take second junction signposted Whitchurch. Follow signs for Whitchurch on A49 at each junction. Continuing on A49 turn right at Red Fox go past Wild Boar and signs into Bunbury and take a left turn ( Long Lane) signposted to Haughton. Travel for 2 miles past Yew Tree Inn and continue to second right turn (Cappers Lane).Enter Cappers Lane and immediately turn right into New Hall Farm Drive.
  • Road from South M6 (15.0 miles)
    Leave Motorway Junction 16. Continue along A500 signposted Nantwich. At Nantwich ring road follow signs for Wrexham A51. Follow A534 straight on at Burford Traffic Lights.Continue on A534 turn right opposite the windmill and continue through the Burland village.Exit 30 mph and take the next right turn (Long Lane) signposted Bunbury and Haughton. Approx. 3 miles will take you past the Nags Head pub and into Spurstow. Take the left turn (Cappers Lane) and New Hall Farm is immediately on the right
  • Road from Chester (16.0 miles)
    Take the A51 signposted to Nantwich continue to Tarvin. Then follow the signs for Whitchurch A49 and continue as above. Continuing on A49 turn right at Red Fox go past Wild Boar and signs into Bunbury and take a left turn ( Long Lane) signposted to Haughton. Travel for 2 miles past Yew Tree Inn and continue to second right turn (Cappers Lane).Enter Cappers Lane and immediately turn right into New Hall Farm Drive.
  • Road from Whitchurch (9.0 miles)
    Take the A49 signposted to Warrington. Travel approx. 8.5 miles past Cholmondeley Arms and then Panama Hatties and take next right (Long Lane) signposted to Haughton. Travel for 2 miles past Yew Tree Inn and continue to second right turn (Cappers Lane). Enter Cappers Lane and immediately turn right into New Hall Farm Drive.
