A bijou hotel set in a quiet Domesday village in the National Forest, North West Leicestershire close to Derbyshire, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire. Ideally sited in the country within the M1/M42 triangle. Easy access to Loughborough, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Nuneaton and East Midlands Airport. Near to Donington Park and Mallory Park race circuits. Easy access to the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham International Airport. The bedroom is en-suite, with trouser press, iron & board. Cool air fans for summer and extra heating for the cold weather. Evening meals may be bookable by prior arrangement. We feature local top quality local food. Enclosed lawn garden and pond designed to be a romantic garden - a retreat with only the splash of the fountain to combine with the rustle of the leaves from the overhanging trees. There are garden loungers on which you can recline. It’s a place to meditate, relax and enjoy the wildlife. By the house there is a paved terrace with plenty of seating where guests can sip drinks and enjoy the sun. One of the delights of modern life is the opportunity is to explore the shopping possibilities of the region. Around Ravenstone there are numerous interesting shops and particularly good speciality food production. For example; 5 minutes away at Heather is Cattows Farm Shop for fresh fruit and vegetables. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee wood is a pleasant walk away, within the National Forest. Sense Valley park for walks and birding is a 2 minute drive. NT's Calke Abbey & Staunton Church. Great Central Railway. Donington Motor Collection are all nearby.

Web have been assed for wheel chair access. The only available access was when Ann was herself was in a wheelchair , the only accepted access is via the kitchen. Health and safety guide line exclude any non resident person from this method of entry. We have experience of communicating with blind or part sighted persons also those with hearing difficulties.
