Nestled in the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders, The Coppice offers the discerning traveller four double bedrooms and a spacious studio apartment in which to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The property was designed and built by the present owner to exacting standards to provide comfortable, homely and a welcoming family atmosphere. The Borthwick Valley and the hamlet of Roberton arguably boast the most unspoilt valleys in the Scottish Borders with its vista of panoramic views, an abundance of wildlife and its magnificant unpolluted skies providing the perfect environment for exploring on foot, cycle or car. There is fishing nearby and also golf at The Woll, less than 5 miles away providing a beautiful clubhouse in which to relax after a round or two! Centrally located for the Airports of Newcastle, Edinburgh and Carlisle approximately one hour away it is perfect for ease of access via the main A7 trunk road and a perfect stop-off for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The Coppice is a family run guest house and this is reflected in the high standard and quality of the service provided. The Scottish Borders is steeped in history and local culture. Come and trace your ancestory in the award winning Hawick Heritage Hub. Enjoy the annual Common Riding, this year celebrating 500 years and renowned as one of the biggest parties in the world! The Coppice is a two storey dwelling with all sleeping accommodation on the first floor. The Coppice sits on an elevated site and although the parking area is flat, there are four steps at the entrance to the front door.

Directions

  • Road from A7 (5.0 miles)
    From the A7 turn onto B711 and cont. to the hamlet of Roberton (approx.4 miles). Pass church on your left and on to the fork in the road. Bear right continuing on the B711 and up the hill. Continue approx 100m to a sharp right bend. Bear LEFT onto single track road. Continue on approx .5 miles over small bridge and next property on right set back off the road. The property has a dry stone wall and 'Visit Scotland' sign.We also have a Shepherds Hut located in the grounds of the property
