The Farm House Guest House Information

Description

The Farmhouse Guest House is a family-run establishment where you will enjoy a personal, warm welcome with all the comforts of home. We offer a high standard of accommodation in an easy, informal atmosphere, with a thoughtful selection of extra touches and home comforts to help you enjoy your visit. The property is a 250 year old former farmhouse now situated in a historic rural village location. We offer a high standard of accommodation for those wishing to enjoy North Northumberland's many attractions. We have three guest rooms, all beautifully decorated and equipped to the high standard expected of a four star rated establishment. All our rooms are well-equipped and include a clock radio, hair dryer and flat screen TV with integrated DVD and Freeview channels. All en-suite shower rooms have soft bath-sheets, bath robes and a good supply of quality toiletries. Breakfast We have an award-winning breakfast menu which offers a good range of dishes. Everything is cooked fresh and we use as many locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients as possible. We will attempt to cater for all dietary needs. The farmhouse is located close to the Heritage Coastline with its miles of unspoilt sandy beaches. We are also in easy reach of the Northumbria National Park and the Cheviot Hills. The North Sea Trail, Northumberland Coast Path and St Oswald's Way walking routes pass our front door. Among the numerous easily accessible attractions are Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle (location for the Harry Potter films) and the adjacent Gardens. Cragside (National Trust) and Howick Gardens are also well worth a visit. Also nearby are the lovely fishing villages of Craster and Seahouses where you can take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, not to mention the numerous local castles and other places of historical interest. The Farmhouse Guest House also provides the perfect base or stopover for golfing and cycling breaks.
