The Farmhouse Information

Welcome to The Farmhouse at Yetholm Mill a warm, relaxing and friendly environment, where you can make new friends and enjoy good food. You will find us in Kirk Yetholm, in the Scottish Borders just a mile from the border with Northumberland. Draw a line between Edinburgh and Newcastle and we are half way along it, nestling in the foothills of the Cheviots. The Farmhouse is a listed building in a conservation area, we have renovated it to give a cosy and contemporary feel, but we have retained whatever original features we have found. We are perfectly situated for walking breaks, cycling holidays, enjoying the countryside, or exploring Kelso, the Borders and Northumberland. Castles, country estates and historic gardens abound; golf, racing and fishing are all just a short drive away; and the stunning Northumberland coastline, Farne islands, Scottish seabird centre and Holy Island are all easily reached. Guests can wander around our gardens or woodland, can sit soaking up the sun or watching the wildlife and the glorious sunsets. The view from the terrace over the Bowmont river valley and down the valley towards Kelso is spectacular. B&B and self catering are both possible at The Farmhouse. If you want the freedom of self catering but want an occassional treat, breakfast is available. We can help organise your break with advice on walking or touring routes and contacts for birdwatching and fishing. Packed lunches always available and if you want a bit of pampering, with a bit of notice, we can organise massages and a full range of Spa treatments. Nothing is too much trouble for our guests and if you want something special.....just ask!
