Pinewood B&B Information

Description

We are open all year around and offer 4 comfortable, en-suite bedrooms. SORRY, WE DO NOT ACCEPT PETS. We are just 350yds from Wisemans Bridge beach and adjacent to the fabulous Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath, now also part of the Welsh Coastal Footpath, between Amroth (1 mile) and Saundersfoot (1.5 miles), accessible by a scenic walk along the coast via the old tram-line and through Coppet Hall tunnel. The popular Tenby coastal town is just 5 miles away. Family Attractions: Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon Water Park and Heatherton are all within a 10-15 minute drive. The National Trust's Colby Woodland Garden is a pleasant 30 minute walk away. For walkers visiting Pinewood the Pembrokeshire Coastal path, which can be joined at the bottom of our drive, is a natural attraction with its spectacular landscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, picturesque towns and villages, bustling harbours, and wooded estuaries. Whether you are looking for gentle strolls or more demanding walks we can offer advice and guidance during your stay with us. We also have a selection of guides and our own laminated walks to the area. For cyclists, the Celtic Way National Cycle Route 4 runs directly past our drive and we have a selection of Pembrokeshire Greenway cycle maps for your use. Fishing, riding, water sports, golf are all nearby. If you like exploring historic attractions, the castles of Carew, Manorbier, Llawhaden, Pembroke and Haverforwest are all within a 30 minute drive, along with Lamphey Palace and Carew Tidal Mill. The magnificent cathedral at St Davids and its Bishops' Palace are about an hours drive. We offer a full home cooked breakfast plus fruit, yoghurt, muesli, cereal, orange/apple juice, toast and preserves, tea and fresh cafetiere coffee. We also offer scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, eggs benedcit, or boiled egg and soldiers. Breakfast is served in our large, sunny conservatory with superb vistas

Directions

  • Road from Carmarthen (20.0 miles)
From Carmarthen take A40 to St Clears, then A477 towards Tenby and Pembroke Dock. After passing the petrol station in Llanteg, continue along A477 for exactly 2 miles then turn left - signed for Amroth and Wisemans Bridge. After 1 mile turn left again, also signed for Amroth and Wisemans Bridge. Pass through the hamlet of Summerhill and continue down hill. After half a mile, just after a 'beware of cyclists' sign, turn VERY sharp left into Cliff Road. Pinewood is on the right in 20yds.
