James’ Place @ Dowlais Information

Description

James' Place@Dowlais offers 7 individually and creatively styled self-catering studios. They are ideally placed for exploring the Brecon Becons, climbing Pen-Y-Fan or visiting Bike Park Wales amongst many of the other great activities in the area or for working away from home. They are only a 5mins drive from the town centre and there is a bus stop right outside which can take you to the main train and bus station. Each studio has a separate but en-suite Kitchenette with all the essentials plus en-suite Shower-Room. We also provide a few surprising luxuries with Soap & Glory complimentary toiletries, a pint of milk and freshly baked home-made welsh cakes to welcome you to Wales. We are dog friendly in Studio 1 and 2 which are on the ground floor. There is a £10 charge per dog per stay.

Directions

A car is recommended when staying at the property
  • Road from A4060 (0.3 miles)
    Important:
Always use Google maps as the best method of finding us as there are 3 other High Streets in the nearby area. Don’t use the postcode in Sat Nav/ GPS as it will take you to the wrong High street!
Simply enter “James’ place at Dowlais” into google maps and it will bring you to us every time.
A third of a mile away from us at the A4060 and A465 Heads of the Valley Rd at the Asda and Texaco fuel station roundabout, please take the Red exit marked “Dowlais”. Go downhill past the “Tredegar Arms” Hotel. Go through the next small crossroads and continue downhill approx. 200m until you see us next to the “Antelope Hotel” on your left, opposite “Qmin” restaurant. We are the wood fronted building with the vintage bicycle above the door and 'JP' our Lime green sheep in the windows!
On arrival, you may be able to park right outside on the High Street or in the large free car park behind the Antelope Hotel.
