Church Farm Information

Description

Here at Church Farm B&B, near Corsham, we occupy a unique position, nestling at the foot of the Cotswolds in a picturesque corner of N Wiltshire. Light and airy accommodation is offered in our Barn adjacent to the farmhouse, offering 3 well appointed bedrooms with ensuite shower/toilet faciliites, with wonderful views overlooking park and farmland. The bedrooms can be booked for single, double or twin use. Each room has a well-stocked kitchenette so guests can prepare a DIY Continental Breakfast at their leisure. In addition there are TV, tables and chairs, CH, WIFI, hairdryers, and bathroom toiletries. Happy to provide items for special dietary requirements and make packed lunches, with advance notice. The Farmhouse and Barn overlook Hartham Park and Box Valley and you will often see our dairy/ beef cattle grazing in the fields. Our 2 horses graze in the paddocks nearby and are always pleased to receive some attention. Not to be missed are the local wildlife - if you walk from here you can often see deer, hares, buzzards, pheasants and the odd muntjack. We have 2 cats and a very friendly labrador to greet you. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this lovely countryside, yet only 8 miles from Bath, 4 miles from Jnct 17/M4 and 1 hour from Bristol Airport, with good road/rail link. Our famous local villages, Biddestone, Lacock and Castle Combe are all very pretty and we are situated in an AONB. We are close to many National Trust Properties and gardens and in the centre of Wiltshire's Pre-Historic past e.g. Stonehenge. There are many award winning pubs and restaurants locally and plenty of culture at theatres and arts venues nearby. From here you can play at several golf courses and access a network of Way-marked walks and cycleways. We welcome holidaymakers, overseas visitors and business travellers alike. Off-road parking is provided. We can park larger vehicles and have turning space and bike storag

Directions

  • Road from Warning to SatNav Users (0.0 miles)
Some SatNavs will direct you off the A4 down Middlewick Lane, which is single track and has a gate.Ignore this and come down Hartham Lane from A4 and we are 1st on the left, immediately before the Church. If you drive down Middlewick Lane, keep going for about 0.5 mile, the wooden gate will open automatically. At the end of the lane, turn right, over the cattle grid and keep coming down towards the Farmhouse (approx 300 metres). You will need to manually open the next gate onto our property.
  • Road from M4/Junction 17 (4.0 miles)
From M4 (Junction 17) follow A350 (Poole), bypass round Chippenham, then take A4 (Bath). After 3 miles (Corsham) go straight through crossroads (Cross Keys Pub on right), then after 500 metres turn first right into Hartham Lane (Hartham) this is at the Pickwick + 30 mph sign.(Road also painted red). After 500 metres down Hartham Lane, turn left into our drive, immediately before the Church-at B&B Sign. Follow driveway up to the farmhouse (approx 300 metres)
  • Road from Bath (9.0 miles)
